Jacksonville, Fla.— Today, Pragmatic Works™, www.pragmaticworks.com provider of business intelligence solutions that complement Microsoft SQL Server announced today that BI xPress™ 1.1 with added features, is now available and seamlessly supports integration with Microsoft’
BI xPress product allows developers to enable code reusability inside of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and integrates with the coder’s development environment. Common ActiveX script logic that was used in DTS can easily be found, bridging the gap and the difficulty to convert DTS packages to SSIS.
BI xPress uses drop and drag technology which decreases the manual labor required for developers who write SSIS packages by providing automated, auditing, notification, performance monitoring and historical reporting across SSIS packages allowing for standardized deployments within SQL Server 2005 and 2008 environments.
“This latest release delivers a huge business value to customers as it reduces coding time sometimes by 98%,” said Pragmatic Works’ President Brian Knight. “A typical ActiveX script may take a developer an additional 30 minutes to convert to SSIS code and now this process can be completed in seconds. Even a seasoned SSIS developer, can increase their productivity by using these reusable SSIS snippets.”
“BI xPress has accelerated our development project by enabling rich configurable auditing and notification to our hundreds of packages without any code changes”. Said Craig O’Connor, Data Warehouse Architect at WorkforceLogic “Management and deployment can be conveniently done from BIDS, and out of the box reporting helps monitor execution success and performance.”
The benefit of BI xPress integration with BIDS, is its simple one console approach. With a right-click on any package, developers can add a framework to any or all of their SSIS packages containing best practices designed by SQL Server MVP Brian Knight. The BI xPress approach will reduce SSIS support and maintenance by creating a standardized SSIS environment right from Visual Studio.
