Pradeep Parashar, CEO, Maria Deep Travel Co. of Agra, India said in its report “Investment Prospect in Indian Tourism Industry in 2008-09”, that most of tourist destinations in India attracted planned investments worth more than $ 800 Million in 2008-09 last year, the report said.
Dr. Man Mohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India has introduced investor friendly policies; they enjoy apt India’s geographical location with easy connectivity both nationally and internationally attracting long term investment. Indian Tourism Industry meets the requirements of the companies being attracted to move up their business foundations in India, Parashar said.
The Indian Tourism Industry has reason to cheer. After a yearlong gloom, non-residents have started looking at the travel market in the country again, especially high-end projects, says report.
Inquiries have started pouring in since May, propped by an improving economy, political stability and a bullish stock market, things seem to be improving for the Indian Tourism and Travel industry. Parashar, added.
