With the addition of several key leadership positions and initiatives, operational capacity on the ground in Afghanistan now includes expediting or overseeing construction projects and site surveys, building infrastructure, and meeting WTO standards. Mondo’s program management also includes implementing and executing turnkey projects from bid to final delivery and completion. “Our team in Afghanistan allows our customers to go to market with more confidence, speed and quality,” says Hakimi.
As a result of Mondo’s efforts, they can now partner with the government and other non-government entities in fulfilling surge infrastructure requirements, construction, transportation, distribution, security and logistics. Projects that will be positively impacted include building clinical health care structures and other basic human rights facilities in Afghanistan. Mondo also points out that as troop levels surge and insurgent activity in the South of Afghanistan increase, the military also needs additional operational support, supplies, equipment, additional fuels, ammo, etc. “Mondo is now in a position to offer operational resources and staffing to handle anything from security and customs clearance to construction, project/program management and all forms of transportation and distribution,”
