Nira Schwartz artwork was selected as "BEST IN WORKS ON PAPER" at The Manhattan Arts International's Sixth "Her Story competition"/
Nira Schwartz artworks are based on the use of hand made paper. She uses different kinds of paper, very thin transparent papers, papers with design and texture, all of them are hand made, strong and durable. Along with her original stencil prints large scale paintings and collages she creates precise miniature collages which she enlarge by means of Giclee prints, once the miniatures are enlarges all kinds of textures and hidden details suddenly appear on the surface.
Nira Schwartz works in layers of paper, one overlapping the other which gives the 3 dimensional feeling to the artwork and especially to the enlarged prints.
Each print is personally inspected and receives some additional details by hand.
Nira Schwartz is a graduate of art University and spent 4 years in Japan in the great master class of Keisuke Serizawa where she studied the art of Katazome.
Nira Schwartz is a regular participant in international miniature art shows aoround the world and received numerous awards for her works.
As of July 1st 2009 her artworks will be exhibited in Haifa Main Auditorium until July 16, 2009.
