(www.GAOTek.com) has released its advanced 433MHz active RFID reader (GAO214014), an easy-to-use reader unit that incorporates a standard USB cable for connection to any standard USB port for data transmission and power supply. The reader, operating as a plug and play device, is commonly used in the verification and programming of RFID tags and labels, personnel identification and access control to computers or terminals, point of sales (POS) applications. It is also used with similar data entry instruments, and many other applications for supply chains, retail or logistics.
GAO Tek’s active RFID reader includes software and works well in conjunction with active RFID tags that allows user to select and monitor many RFID tags or only one. The reader’s gain can be adjusted from high to low dynamically via software. In stand-alone mode, the RSSI (received signal strength indication) setting is set dynamically via software to control the read range of the reader. This active reader also allows for data upload in real time or data buffering for later retrieval.
