FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jun 14, 2009 – A new blog created to empower Mexican-American relations by raising awareness of the major flaws in the way policymakers and citizens from Mexico and the United States of America have been communicating in the last years, and by highlighting the possibility of transforming the relationship has been launched at http://www.TheCatalist.org.

The blog’s name is the result of the combination of two words: catalyst and optimist.

“We believe that a new optimistic perspective is needed if we want the relationship between our two neighboring countries to flourish and not get stalled or deteriorate even further. This outlook should work as a catalyst that triggers the possibility of a better understanding of each other, resulting in the improved relationship we all long for” said Jorge Flores Kelly, creator of TheCatalist.org.

The blog includes articles about the contribution of Mexican entrepreneurs in the USA, statistics that put Mexico’s reality into perspective, commentary on culture and art that crosses borders, general articles about Mexico, and posts counterattacking unjustified or biased news reports on the relationship between both nations.

“There is a lot of room for improvement in the perception of what Mexico and the USA have in common, which is much more than just interests, challenges and a border.  We have the same strong values and ideals based on hard work, faith and family; and I trust that TheCatalist will contribute to the positive change needed in the communication between our countries” added Flores Kelly.

The blog is also available to Spanish-language readers at: http://www.ElCatalista.org.
