It's going to be a NIGHT IN THE FAST LANE at the Hilton Showroom as the music of the Eagles fills the air and takes many a listener back to times in their lives they so fondly remember.
The Band - Spread Eagle: Tribute To The Eagles is a 7 piece, 7 member Eagles Tribute Band that originally debuted in New England clubs back in 2001. After many years of perfecting their act, and several personnel changes, they solidified in early 2004 as a really class act. As they continued to strive for absolute authenticity, the act just got better and better.
Boasting one of the longest song lists of any Eagles Tribute Band, Spread Eagle plays all of the great radio hits, but also includes deeper cuts from older albums. Additionally they've played several Eagles albums start to finish as features within their shows. They are incorporating more and more material from The Eagles' latest double-disc release "Long Road Out Of Eden."
Home-based in central, MA, the band began playing nationally 4 years ago, and is headed towards becoming a working/touring band by years end. In 2005, they embarked upon their Eagles Ticket Give-Away Tour and played in cities in advance of The Eagles scheduled shows, and Spread Eagle gave away 'very choice' Eagles concert tickets to lucky listeners. Since then, they've played from Georgia to Texas to Maine, and continue to be booked nationally.
The band is comprised of 7 seasoned musicians and vocalists, who sound very much like the original Eagles members.
Paul Hawkins covers the Glenn Frey vocals, plays acoustic and electric guitar, and plays 2nd keyboard. He is from San Diego, California, and currently resides in Leominster, MA.
Rick Steinau sings the Randy Meisner and Timothy B. Schmit songs, and plays bass guitar. He grew up in, and still lives in, Clinton, MA.
The Don Henley vocals are covered by Keith Brindle of Spencer, MA, while Rick Murphy of Worcester, MA, fills the role of Scott Crago, who is the Eagles' drummer.
Rick Serafini, who hails from Lowell, MA, and Dave Dreher, of Clinton, MA, are the Joe Walsh and Don Felder guitarists of the group - playing all of those great dual lead solos and riffs.
Bob Peterson, of Marlborough, MA, on plays first keyboards and fills the role of Joe Vitale. and covers backing vocal harmony.
In this configuration, the band’s Don Henley (Keith) performs out front, just as the Eagles perform nowadays and this allows him to put his all into the vocal performance.
The venue is one of the absolute BEST musical performance venues in Atlantic City. The showroom seats as many as 1200 and and has fantastic sound and light production.
