Local Las Vegas residents have been very happy with the FREE computer classes they have been able to take at the Profesfsional Institute of Technology. Many of the students have said they were so appreciative that they had a place to go to brush up on their skills.
Angela Alvarado stated, "I couldn't believe it when I saw the flyer! Someone was going to let me come learn computers for FREE!! I don't even know how to turn on a computer and I was so embarrassed..But the staff was so nice, and helped me learn and made me feel so comfortable. I went to class and then came back the next day to practice I plan to go back again until I feel comfortable!"
Over 50 people have taken advantage of the free classes, and more classes are scheduled throughout the month of June. Classes will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and there are also evening classes planned.
Director Laurie Clemens is so happy with the results, she is considering continuing the program throughout the summer months. "Depending upon my instructor resources, I may continue this program through July and August. I may not be able to offer as many classes but I believe I will offer at least three per month."
If you know anyone who is unemployed and living in the Las Vegas area, please tell them about these classes. For more information you can contact the staff at The Professional Institute of Technology at 702-853-7482
