NorkaTech Inc. has developed Cléo, a security device for mobile phones that proactively alarms when a mobile phone is left behind or stolen, thus preventing loss of mobile phone.
Cléo attaches to the user’s keychain. If the user is moving and the mobile phone is more than 32 feet away, Cléo triggers an alarm.
For example, if the user leaves home, office without the mobile phone, Cléo alarms.
If the user forgets a mobile phone at a restaurant or in a cab, Cléo alarms. Similarly, if a thief takes a mobile phone away from its user, Cléo alarms.
Cléo is used by large corporations as a branding and marketing device. In fact, Cléo has the ability to light a brand logo regularly, and to send an electronic brochure to the phone photo album.
Cléo is also used as a key to corporate mobile applications, enabling automatic login, preventing identify theft, and protecting mobile devices.
