Hobby Action, a family owned hobby store in Tempe Arizona, holds the answer to the question of what to get the dad who has everything.
Radio controlled hobbies make up the bulk of the store located off Rural and Guadalupe to satisfy the typical dad’s need for speed. Craig and Cindy Nelson, owners of Hobby Action, take pride in upholding a store that not only has the vehicles but the parts needed to maintain and even upgrade the look or performance.

While radio controlled hobbies are their specialty, Hobby Action also offers a large selection of models, rockets and kites. “All the hobbies we offer bring families together,” said Craig Nelson. “The hobby might start with dad, but the whole family ends up getting involved and enjoying the fun.”
The environment within the store is enough to make anyone get off the couch and into a hobby. Aside from the flight simulator that enables customers to fly before they buy, customers will also find a rock climbing hill where demonstrations take place. The staff at Hobby Action are fully knowledgeable as to the products in the store and are able to give tips and advice to customers as well as anyone looking for the ideal gift.
Hobby Action is located at 705 E. Guadalupe Road in Tempe and is open Tuesday thru Friday between 10 am and 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
