Grupo Compas – The Alloy Valve Stockist – a stockist of premium alloy valves, based in Barcelona Spain, has been awarded a contract to supply forged and cast gate and ball valves in super duplex (forged A182 F53, A182 F55 and cast grades A890 Gr. 5A and A890 Gr. 6A). Items also include monel valves (A494 MR-35-1 and forged bar stock UNS N04400) and alloy 20 (A351 CN7M and UNS N08020), all delivered to an Aramco plant in Saudi Arabia. The valve package includes some ex-stock items, with the longest delivery time of 15 weeks. Completion is expected prior to Q4 2009.
Heather Smith – head of International eCommerce – noted that this was the second large package of valves supplied to Saudi Arabia in 2009. “We are investing heavily both in Saudi Arabia as well as the United Arab Emirates, both of which are revamping many sites.”
