PRLog (Press Release) -
Jun. 11, 2009 - Thermal Balance Brakes has had to change its name after being in business for over 2 ½ years, the company stated. It is a shame we have put a lot of time and effort, not to mention money in the branding of our company. We started to call some of our clients, just to say hello and were told we called them yesterday. We were stunned; no one from our company had called them in a month. We called a few other clients in our area and were told the same thing, after looking into it, we found that a company that is also in our industry was calling them, and after being in business for well over 10 years changed their name to the same as ours. It’s hard to believe that after over 10 years of trying to put your name out there, and claiming you are the leader in the industry, and the inventor, you would jump on someone else’s coat tails, “What is the saying, imitation is the best form of flattery,” Mike Tardif President of Performancex3 asks.
The situation would not have been so bad, but the company that changed their name to what was ours, is less than a quarter of a mile away. I’m pretty sure they did not make a mistake Tardif said, they knew we had already been calling ourselves that for over 2 years. But every cloud has a silver lining; our new name suits us better, the process we developed (Harmonic Balancing) enables brake rotors and brakes drums to last 3 times longer, so PerformanceX3 was born.
