Dr. Randall Wright will be honored by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for his professional commitment to stroke research and treatment and his personal commitment to educating and preventing stroke in the African-American community. The Awards Gala is the opportunity for the AHA/ASA to honor Ambassadors for their exemplary efforts for the Power To End Stroke campaign in 2008-09. The black-tie gala will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
Power To End Stroke was created in 2006 by the American Heart Association/
Dr. Wright has been a longtime volunteer of the American Heart Association/
Dr. Wright graduated Summa Cum Laude from Xavier University Of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. He attended Medical School at Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine Department of Neurology. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Wright is married to and has one son.
