Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art announces their first annual juried sculpture show.

"Sculpture Showcase 2009" will hold thier reception on October 10, 2009 from 4 - 9 PM. Show dates are from October 10 - Nov. 28, 2009

Gallery owner, Howard Cooperman is proud to send a "call for sculptors", to submit their metal and stone artwork from as far away as a 150 mile radius of New Hope PA. The showcase of work will include indoor as well as outdoor sculpture.

Artists are encouraged to submit work that has been created within the last two years. A downloadable prospectus is available at http://www.buckscountygallery77.com/sculpture.html.  Entries must be received by September 12th, 2009 for inclusion of the jurying process. A CD rom with as many as 3 different works can be submitted, with tow images of each piece. There is a $30.00 fee to enter, and there will be three prizes awarded by Bucks County Gallery.

First place winner will receive a solo exhibit at the gallery located in New Hope, PA. Additionally, the winner will receive free promotion of their work for an entire year, leading up to Sculpture Showcase 2010. This is a great opportunity for free publicity of the winning sculptor. Also included is a free web page on the gallery’s web site. See the prospectus for details of awards for the second and third place winners.

Bucks County Gallery is the largest fine art gallery in all of Bucks County PA. where the Pennsylvania Impressionists began painting. New Hope, home of the New Hope School painters, is a one square mile river town located on the Delaware, across from Lambertville, N.J.

There are many shopping villages and Historic towns with Historic Landmarks in Bucks County PA. Fairs and festivals are also abundant throughout the season. New Hope is a cool artsy little town located right on the Delaware River, and it is a great place to start if you have never been to Buck's County Pennsylvania.

New Hope is located just 1 hour from Philadelphia, 1 1/2 hours from New York, and 2 hours from Maryland. What a great place for a day trip! There’s no shortage of quaint bed and breakfasts in the area. Plan for a relaxing two day stay when you come out for the show. It’ll be juts in time for the change of colors in the foliage, which is a beautiful event in itself!
