The school teaches students ages 12-18 and is funded by the government. The headmaster, Mr. Baidoo, is eager to expand projects in the areas of agriculture, sports ,recreation and science. They operate 10 months of the year and teach all subjects to their pupils. Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school. This placement does not need any volunteers in the month of Jul and Aug.
Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:-
Leadership Programming
Recreational Programming
Environmental Science
Agricultural Technology
Composting Systems
Soccer
Baseball Educational Games Other Musical Instruments
Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:- Assist teacher in the classroom (subject choice is up to the volunteer). With donation of a computer, volunteers could teach computer skills to students. Organize extra-curricular programs (athletics, music). Assist with agriculture projects (raising snails, bee keeping, maize farm, teak tree growing, compost).
