Headquartered in Atlanta, Atlanta leather cleaning company, Atlanta Leather Care and Repair, is proud to announce that J. Maurice Thomas has joined as Co-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.
Atlanta Leather Care has recently launched a series of unique, new services for Atlanta leather cleaning, leather conditioning, leather repair and leather restoration for all types of leather. These services will allow customers the ability to revitalize their existing leather sofas and other furniture pieces and even redye them so that can continue to enjoy their leather upholstery.
Mr. Thomas began his professional career in 1980 after graduating with honors from Jackson State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. During the span from 1980-1984, he worked as a certified public accountant with Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Company and later with Price Waterhouse & Company. He received his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1986.
After graduate school, he enjoyed a successful 22-year career in the financial services industry; 17 years as an investment banker and 5 years as a marketing executive in the investment management sector of the industry. He worked at large financial institutions such as PaineWebber Inc. and Bank of America and SunTrust Bank as well as several small, boutique firms.
Mr. Thomas is also the sole shareholder of Thomas Services, Inc., a company he formed in 1993 to pursue certain entrepreneurial interests. The Company provides delivery, installation, repair and maintenance and training services in the state lottery industry. The Company provided its services to the Georgia Lottery Corporation lottery from its inception in 1993 until the end of 2007 and currently provides such services to the District of Columbia Lottery and Charitable Games. In 2004, Mr. Thomas formed Tennessee Vending Services LLC, which was selected to provide the same services for the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation.
