The Nevada State Fair proudly announces its “Green” commitment as our competition guide goes “Green” this year. The competition book, known as the “comp book” is available exclusively online for the 2009 Fair.
The website, www.nvstatefair.com offers the complete comp book used by everyone competing in livestock or creative living events at the fair.
The Fair Comp Book also contains all the information, rules, guidelines, and entry forms for submitting or showing livestock at the Fair. You DO NOT have to belong to FFA or 4-H to compete with in the Creative Exhibits category. Creative living competitions include hobbies like winemaking, photography, baking, photography, painting, canning, and quilting to name a few.
If you have always wanted to become part of a State Fair now is the time to do it. All of the information is online at www.nvstatefair.com
Daily competitions may be entered the day of the event. Rules for the daily contests are also on the website, www.nvstatefair.com
The online exclusivity of the Comp Book keeps about a dozen trees from being turned into paper pulp.
The Nevada State Fair continues its 135th year as a greener statewide affordable family-friendly event August 26-30 at the Reno Livestock Events Center.
