The season of wine tastings continues at The Maynard in Grindleford, with a Bordeaux Master Class in association with John Hattersley Wines, on Wednesday 24 June at 7.30pm.
An overview of Bordeaux wines will be provided, with tutored tastings of some of the region’s quality vintages, introduced by Katherine Dart MW (Master of Wine). It will be an opportunity to take a guided tasting tour of this classic wine region, accompanied by a Maynard award-winning restaurant meal.

Paul Downing, The Maynard’s Director, said: “Our wine tastings in association with John Hattersley have become an established part of our events calendar. In the past we have tended to go for an informal approach which makes wine tastings as accessible as possible to a wide range of people. This is our first Master Class wine tasting, which will still retain some informality and will hopefully appeal to everyone, but which will also give more in-depth information and tasting notes than before. All of our previous wine tastings have been oversubscribed, so it is advisable to book early.”
