Time Warner Inc is to separate from AOL by the end of the year. Time Warner purchased AOL in a blaze of publicity a few years ago when AOL was a leader in the internet field. However Time Warner has not been able to continue AOL’s success and it has now become a burden.

“The idea is to go back to pre-merger days and make AOL a separate entity from Time Warner. The idea is to let AOL focus on what it does best and vice versa,” explains tech analyst for “CapitalSys”
Its believe that AOL strengths have been stifled a lot with the merger as Time Warner tried to run it as a traditional media company. In reality is AOL needs to be run as an internet media company, something Time Warner had no experience in.
