Salt Lake City, UT, – Stevens-Henager College has recently added two new Bachelor’s degree programs in Nursing and Health Sciences to its growing list of online education programs available.
Students interested in the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must hold a valid Registered Nurse license. The program is based on 4 week modules over 20 months for a total of 90.5 credits. This program prepares registered nurses (RN) to meet the many changes in the healthcare field by expanding and enhancing their nursing education. Graduates with a BS in Nursing will be trained to utilize theory and research-based knowledge in the provision of care to the client, family and community. The graduates will be prepared for positions in community health clinics, private practice, hospitals, and patient care facilities.
For students applying for the Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, they must be a graduate of an associate degree level, health sciences program (i.e., medical assisting, respiratory therapy, nurse education, surgical technology, etc.) from an accredited institution . The program is also based on four week modules over 20 months for a total of 92 credits. The Bachelor of Science in Health Science is designed as a degree completion program to enhance career opportunities for health professionals. It focuses on providing health professionals with knowledge in management and organization, ethics and policy issues, communication, computer and statistical skills. The program provides for entry-level employment or promotion in a number of areas, some of which include Healthcare, HMO and Hospital Administration;
All students need to go through a campus interview if attending the physical school while an online interview is required for online students. Classes start every month so there is no need to wait long for a course to begin. Students must complete the enrollment agreement and go through financial aid to declare how they are financing their education. The college also offers a variety of Student Financial Aid Programs to those who qualify, including their own EduLoan Program which significantly improves the opportunities for students to afford college.
