Michigan Film Maker Goes International

Film maker Stuart MacDonald, owner of Boomerang Studios, made a ground breaking documentary this year that’s catching the attention of the global community and a reluctant fitness industry. The film is called “I Want To Look Like That Guy” and it’s about Stuart’s quest to see what it takes to look like the guy in fitness ads. What he finds is an industry bent on selling an image that is nearly impossible to maintain let alone achieve.

Stuart starts his journey at 204 lbs, a 44 inch waist and offers a challenge to world champion body builder / fitness model Jeff Willet to train him so he will look like those guys in fitness ads. After 6 months of torturous dieting and self denial, Stuart finally turned himself into a muscular athlete at 154 lbs, a 27 inch waist, 6% body fat and a perfect 6 pack. The film shows how Stuart suffered from isolation, hunger, weight troubles and emotional distress. He couldn’t function socially nor carry out a normal work day. The film unveils the raw truth behind looking super lean. The film brings its point home with very funny old black and white educational films to show how far we’ve come in the field of fitness. Some films show bizarre devices thought to bring about healthy properties like the Zeta Applicator with Z Rays. Late night infomercials might want to take notice.

“I Want To Look Like That Guy” shows there isn’t a pill, special diet or machine that will burn fat. It also attacks the fitness industry’s misleading ads and shows how they sell us billions of dollars of worthless goods. “I Want To Look Like That Guy” will change the way you look at yourself and finally give you permission to carry a few pounds around guilt free.

Copies of the documentary have been sold to Australia, Great Britain, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland, South Africa and nearly every state. Stuart has high hopes to get the film in major film festivals this year. Some reviewers are calling it “The Next Super Size Me” or the new “Minimize Me.” For more information about the film go to www.iwanttolooklikethatguy.com.
