Mr. Figueroa will speak on a panel discussing what impact the current credit crisis and decreasing university endowments will have on private / public partnerships. Rafael will be joined by representatives from American Campus Communities, Moody’s Investor Service, Campus Community Corp, Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney PC, and Hiram College. Mr. Figueroa’s unique experience forming public / private ventures while a Senior Vice President at Sallie Mae and serving as Director of Real Estate Development for the North Carolina State University System will provide the panel with insight from both the on-campus and private sector point-of-view.

Cole aims to educate new student housing investors on the use of technology and accurate market research to project operating expenses and rental growth. Cole will discuss initiatives her team has used under Collegiate’s Property Recovery Division, which provides turnaround property management, operational consulting, and receivership services to third party clients.
