CENTEREACH, NY — PJ Art Co. is currently offering weekly classes in the fine arts for children between the ages of 7 and 12.
Fine arts classes will be held Mondays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tohida Rehman will teach students how to draw basic lines, shapes, and objects. Students will learn how to overlap shapes to create designs, and how to color them. Coursework, as the student progresses, will include: still life drawings, mixing colors, using watercolors and acrylics, tinting and shading, and making designs using primary and secondary colors.
The cost is $25 per class. If you sign up for three or more classes, you will receive a $5 discount per class. Students will work at their own level. If you miss a week, they can pick up where they left off in the last class attended.
PJ Art Co. is located at 1950 Middle Country Road, inside the Waldbaum’s Shopping Center, in Centereach. Store hours are Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Sundays.
