“It’s as if all the talk of economic recovery is finally starting to sink in and companies are starting to get back to business.” says Stephen Elting, President of Elting Mechanical Enterprises (EME). “It was pretty scary there for a few months but, I think companies are realizing that waiting for things to get better is no longer an option. They have to move forward or their competitors are going to gain the advantage.”
EME helps local manufacturing companies solve production challenges in their day-to-day operations. “We solve problems, period. It doesn’t really matter what the issue is, we have the experience and talent to solve it. You would be surprised at some of the fouled up situations I’ve seen manufacturers get themselves into.”
“Since we work with a lot of different kinds of manufacturers, we can get a pretty good indication of how the economy is doing. Be it food & beverage producers to making jigsaw blades, we seen it done. There are a lot of companies that support the construction industry here in Florida and they have seen the worst of it. But, I think that other industries are done waiting and are starting to get back to business.”
Whatever the reason for the upturn in inquiries, Mr. Elting is grateful. Maybe this small sign is an indicator of bigger things to come. We can only hope.
