Iconic Unilever Building -The Collective’s Latest London Film Location and Production Base

London,  UK -- Location managers working in film and television are constantly on the lookout for locations within the M25 like the former Unilever headquarters near Walton-On-Thames, where the production can set up camp for an extended period of time and where production office requirements, unit base parking, wardrobe and storage can all be accommodated, and where ideally a range of scenes can also be shot on-site. Set within 6.6 acres of landscaped grounds, the 1960s-built complex at Walton Court (www.location-collective.co.uk/_97.html) comprises 128,000sqft of varied interiors spread over three storeys, and features an incredibly distinctive listed façade. A range of offices in various layouts and styles, industrial plant rooms, basement corridors, kitchens and canteens, nurse’s station, expansive rooftops – all are available at Walton Court, offering a wide range of possibilities forfilming. The site’s geographical location in southwest London, just 5 minutes’ drive from the M25, M3 and Shepperton Studios, makes it an even more attractive prospect to location managers, keen to stay within the orbital and as close to central London as possible.

“We do have other sites within our location library like Walton Court, which tick a lot of the boxes for film and television crews, where they can establish their production base and film large parts of their script on site - locations like Ram Brewery in Wandsworth and Runnymede Campus for example,” explains Helen Teeling, The Collective’s online library coordinator. “But during the summer months when the level of filming in and around London reaches its peak, these popular locations are frequently booked-out, and we’re always looking for places like the unilever site especially within the M25.”
