art medical imaging modalities currently being offered in the United States. Key topics of discussion included PET/CT [Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography], recognized as the standard of care in the management of cancer, as well as 3Tesla MRI, the latest in neurologic and orthopedic imaging. These aforementioned modalities are currently not utilized for widespread use in the Caribbean due to both the high cost of equipment and the expertise required for operation.
