NEW YORK – In a design studio in Portugal, a complete recreation of Lisbon’s Royal Opera House, destroyed by the Great Earthquake of 1755, has taken shape again. Part of an exploration of virtual worlds, archaeology, and cultural heritage, the Opera House was designed by Beta Technologies, which has offices in New York and several European cities.
