The ChinesePod Quick Review iPhone app has been made available through iTunes this week, introducing to Mandarin learners worldwide a unique tool for efficient, mobile study.
Designed as an integrated Chinese dictionary and flashcard system, the ChinesePod Quick Review draws on every word and every sample sentence contained in ChinesePod’s online archive of 1300+ award-winning lessons.
In effect, it offers the world’s 40 million Chinese learners free access to a regularly updated, hugely practical Mandarin-English phrasebook.
Unique to the Quick Review app, each sample sentence provided in the dictionary’s search results can be broken down into individual words, which in turn have sample sentences of their own. This gives the learner an addictive method of exploring the target language and adding new, practical language to their lexicon. The app contains over 7000 items and audio examples are available too.
Furthermore, ChinesePod's 250,000 subscribers can make use of the Quick Review app’s flashcard feature. The app can sync their personal http://chinesepod.com vocabulary list so all vocabulary ever saved on their account can be accessed and used in flashcard form on the iPhone.
