The Association of Professional Personal Trainers is an international organization created to lead Personal Trainers to a higher standard of professionalism as well as the career stability of their professional counterparts in other industries.

Greg Justice opened Kansas City’s original personal training facility in 1986. He holds a Master's Degree in HPER (Exercise Science) and has conducted more than 40,000 one-on-one personal training sessions. Justice writes for publications such as Personal Fitness Professional, Fit Commerce, and Pro Trainer Online, and is a faculty member of Personal Trainer University. He is a leader and educator in Corporate Fitness Programs and has been mentor for hundreds of Personal Trainers.
Justice explains the need for APPT, "Let there be no mistake about it, APPT will be an association run by Personal Trainers, for Personal Trainers (that includes Strength Coaches & Boot Camp Trainers) not the entire peripheral industry. We know what it's like to be "in the trenches", we know the struggles, frustrations and fears...we've been there, worked through it and have real life solutions to help Personal Trainers on their journey."
"The personal training industry is still very young and in need of structure and guidance, APPT will offer trainers just that. We know that many Personal Trainers are searching for solutions when it comes to business, marketing and support systems. APPT will also advocate for Personal Trainers when it comes to controversial issues such as State Licensing Legislation for Trainers.", says Justice.
