Alliance Partners are entitled to a one-off bonus for recruiting each new customer, as well as ongoing monthly payments worth between 10 and 20 per cent of the customer’s subscription fee*. This ongoing annuity builds over time to create a stable and profitable contribution to the bottom-line.
Chris McWhirr has been appointed as partner manager to spearhead the channel recruitment drive, having worked within the direct sales team at Backup Direct for three years as a direct sales consultant. Prior to joining the company, he worked in recruitment sales.
McWhirr says, “Feedback from our existing 75 active Alliance Partners suggests they want to focus on winning new customers and providing higher-value services to their existing ones. We take on the low-value, yet critical jobs – and ensure they are delivered reliably and hassle-free to customers. Our partners find that our services are easy to sell and easy to support, and therefore easier to make money from.
“In addition, our partners get a recurring revenue stream according to the length of the customer contract without any additional liability,” he adds.
“We share a common goal with Backup Direct: to deliver problem free computing for small businesses. This makes it the perfect partnership for us,” comments Steve Triner, head of IT and computer services at Bluegrass Computer Services. “As part of our offering, we endorse and implement the Backup Direct Server, PC and Mac backup products, all of which meet this aim and reduce the time and cost of managing IT systems for the customer. Working with Backup Direct also gives our own technicians access to quality local support when we ourselves need help and guidance.”
