Brentwood and Oakland PD are teaming up to display some of their departments vehicles and many vendors will be present handing out gifts and selling merchandise. All of the vendors along with surrounding and national businesses have donated prizes to the raffle. Ellis also expects an appearance from KAT country 103.3 to provide music and entertainment.
This will be Brentwood Best Buy's second car show and will also mark the stores second anniversary. Though the store hosts many charity vents, this one promises to be the biggest and best yet.
While in the infancy stages of planning a show, Ellis was looking for a deserving charity to support with the stores car show this year. On March 21st, he was working in his car electronics department with coworker and retired OPD officer, Price Troche. Unexpectedly, Price's wife called and asked to talk to him. She was breaking the news that he had just lost four friends and former coworkers in a shooting in Oakland. Ellis followed the incident closely right throug the funeral and decided these family were who he needed to support with his work. Once recieving the permission from his managment, Troche and the OPOA, he made it his mission for this show to be successful and it has been "full steam ahead" since.
