www.shcri.com -- According to the scheduling agricultural statistics released by Ministry of Agriculture of PRC on 31st May, China have harvested 57.1 million Mu (9.41 million acres) of wheat, completing 16.4% of the scheduled areas and the rapeseeds have been harvested 93.78 million Mu (15.45 million acres), completing 90.7% of the scheduled areas by the end of 2009.
The rapeseeds in Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, Jiangxi, Henan, Anhui and Zhejiang have been completed, and the rapeseeds in Hubei, Guizhou, Shaanxi and Jiangsu have been respectively completed 90%, 80%, 70% and 40%.
On 30th May, there were total 87 thousand combine-harvesters rushing in the harvest of the wheat in China and the daily harvest areas by the combine-harvesters reached 3.9 million Mu (642 thousand acres) and the accumulative harvest areas by the combine-harvesters were 23.06 million Mu (3.8 million acres).
The Development and Reform Commission of PRC defined that the lowest purchase price of the rapeseeds is 3,700 Yuan (540.1 USD)/ton in China in 2009 and covers 17 rapeseed producing areas, including Hubei, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hunan, Henan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Gansu, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Yunan, Xinjiang and Tibet etc, in which the shore-up purchase deadline in the winter rapeseed producing areas is from 1st June, 2009 to the end of September 2009 and the purchase deadline in the spring rapeseed producing areas is from 1st September, 2009 to the end of December 2009. In order to move the enthusiasm of the processing enterprises entry into the purchase of the rapeseeds, Chinese government entrusts partial large-scale and qualified central affiliated grain and oil enterprises and regional state-owned or private oil processing enterprises purchase the farmers’ rapeseeds without less than the government shore-up purchase price, process the rapeseeds and sell the rapeseed oil on their own and take on full responsibility for the success of a business. Chinese central financial department will give 200 Yuan (29.2 USD) per ton subsidies to the trusted enterprises one-time. If the market price of the rapeseeds goes up to 4,000 Yuan (583.9 USD)/ton, Chinese central financial department will stop the subsidies.
