PhysicianEmployment.org Launches First Free Community Physician Job Board

Introducing PhysicianEmployment.org, the newest  physician and mid-level provider job board online at http://www.physicianemployment.org. This free community website, developed as a service to the healthcare staffing industry, was created by a leading healthcare job board developer in conjunction with one of the most respected physician recruiting and staffing experts in the country, Chuck Harris, CEO of Harris Medical Associates in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We saw a market need for a truly open job board,” says Harris. “There are others that come close to what we are doing, but there really aren't any other job boards quite like ours – totally free with no restrictions. Our basic feature set on PhysicianEmployment.org typically costs thousands of dollars on other job boards.”

Kleinschmidt adds, “Another key differentiator is that PhysicianEmployment.org is the first 'Web 2.0' physician job board. It combines ease of use, splashy widescreen graphics with a pleasing design, a fun look and feel, as well as social media features that facilitate easier sharing of job opportunities among physicians.”

The site takes a new approach to healthcare staffing boards, with the colorful, iconic character known as Dr. Jobs, MD, who serves as the site's resident doctor mascot.

“Dr. Jobs is a slightly silly, fun little guy who helps make the experience more enjoyable to our users,” says Kleinschmidt. We plan to brand Dr. Jobs in some new, unpredictable ways.”

Kleinschmidt and Harris have big aspirations for their new joint venture. “In the long term we see PhysicianEmployment.org evolving into a new kind of site, sort of a Facebook meets Craigslist,” said Kleinschmidt. “We believe this board is the opening salvo in a battle that we think will transform the entire healthcare staffing business, not just physician staffing.”

On the drawing board are similar free job boards specially designed for mid-level practitioners like physician assistants and nurse practitioners; in addition, the company plans to develop a job board specifically for registered nurses.

“We believe our unique approach to online staffing will revolutionize this old-fashioned business and help healthcare facilities reduce costs,” said Harris. “In this day and age where technology automates previously labor-intensive activities, there's no reason why facilities should have to pay to post their job openings. While the core features of the site will be free until “Kingdom Come,” says Kleinschmidt, the company is exploring ways to offer premium services to healthcare recruiters who want an extra advantage in finding physicians for their temporary and permanent staffing needs.
