Ecuadorian Rainforest LLC., (ER) is living up to its slogan, “South America and Beyond” by now offering a new super fruit from Africa,  baobab fruit.

The most well known fact about baobab fruit is that it has a high content of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C).  The pulp of the fruit can provide up to 360mg of vitamin C per 100grams.  That is approximately equal to the amount in about six oranges!

The New York Times writes,“(baobab) has six times as much vitamin C and twice as much calcium as milk”.

This super nutritious fruit also contains soluble and insoluble fibers, giving it a prebiotic aspect, numerous amino acids, and other vitamins and minerals.

According to the Natural Resources Institute in Britain, the international baobab industry could grow to 1 billion USD a year and create 2.5 million jobs for African families.
