Green Real Estate Education announces the Level One, their “green” mortgage designation.

Green Real Estate Education has designed a program for state or local mortgage association members to join the “green revolution” and begin to brand their own industry for the awareness of green.

Green Real Estate Education offers the fastest growing “green education certification programs” in the US for those in the real estate and mortgage arena.  4,500 in the real estate industry have our certification with more scheduled through 2009.  
They offer classroom and on-line programs for under $100.

Green Real Estate Education announced today they will offer the first “green certification” program in the country for the mortgage arena, The Green Certified Mortgage Professional GCMP-G.L. Green Leadership Level One Certification. This 4 hour mortgage course offers an excellent overview of what these professionals may see as clients begin to show interest in these new types of renovations. They review the energy rating, energy mortgage concepts and green certification process and qualify a mortgage professionals’ role as these new inquiries enter the marketplace. Learning Objectives include defining green building, sustainable construction and sustainable design, list materials and criteria to promote indoor/outdoor air quality and students will understand why "green" is important to your business and  marketing efforts. Upon completion, they will have a basic understanding of green underwriting standards and be able to define green building standards and present local initiatives. “Our 4 hour Mortgage course ( Green Certified Mortgage Professionals- ( GCMP-GL ) offers information on energy efficient mortgage products what VA, FHA, Fannie and Freddie are doing and their energy addendums and underwriting guidelines.” says Robert Mitchell, Executive Director fo Green Real Estate Education. Our company have been asked by Realogy’s new brand, Better Homes and Garden Real Estate, to teach our Level One Real Estate Agent certification class at their first annual convention in October, 2009. We are excited to present it for continuing education credits to the proper regulatory agencies. We already have approval in Texas, Maryland and Washington State” says Mitchell.

Companies can give staff the opportunity to get the basics of green education in person, that 4,500 others have received. The company sponsors the courses per student for $89, minimum class size is 25. The students get a certification, a manual and a logo to use in their marketing efforts. Green product and systems representatives usually act as affiliates to help with expenses for the sponsors who offer the classes. The strategy of Green Real Estate Education is offering a presentation with local energy and ratings experts coming in to address the class. Their courses are on line for $79.
Robert Mitchell is the Executive Director and mortgage course developer at Green Real Estate Education, which is on target to educate more than 20,000 real estate professionals in going green by 2010. Mitchell co-authored and established the recognized certification for the mortgage industry, the GCMP.GL. He worked for 14 years in the business as a licensed mortgage broker in Maryland and Florida, where he now resides.
