AmeriGlide Announces the AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship

The AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship is a scholarship program sponsored by AmeriGlide that awards a $500 scholarship to full-time students who use a wheelchair. The scholarship is a merit-based scholarship – applicants must submit an essay response of at least 500 words to one of the scholarship's posted essay questions. Students may also submit up to two character references from their teachers or other non-related individuals.

Interested parties are encouraged to visit www.ameriglide.com/scholarship to review this semester's essay question and the scholarship's requirements. The entire application, including the essay, can be submitted online through AmeriGlide's website. There is also an address given for traditional mail submissions. The deadline for the fall semester's application submission is July 31, 2009. Mailed entries must be postmarked before July 31, 2009.

The winner of the AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship will receive a check shortly after being notified they won. The money may be spent on tuition, books, or any other expense the student feels is necessary.

The AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship is offered twice per year, once for the fall semester and once for the spring semester. The July 31, 2009 deadline for submissions for the fall semester is fast approaching, so AmeriGlide would like to encourage all eligible participants to enter. The winner of this semester's scholarship will be notified prior to August 7, 2009.
