NORTH SHORE SURGI-CENTER CELEBRATES 20 YEARS

Smithtown, NY — On May 22, North Shore Surgi-Center today celebrated its 20th anniversary of operation as a leading ambulatory surgery center.
After receiving approval by the New York State Department of Health and completing construction of its facilities, North Shore Surgi-Center, a multi-specialty ambulatory center, opened for business in May 1989. The center specializes in orthopedics, pain management and gastroenterology.
North Shore Surgi-Center was formed by Drs. Ather Mirza and Enrico Mango, who are still some of the principals in the company today. Currently, North Shore Surgi-Center has over 100 doctors who have clinical privileges at the center, and over 85 staff members. When the center first opened, it performed only 20 cases a month; now, the center performs approximately 800 cases per month.
