FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun 02, 2009 -
Burlingame, CA- TrackingTheWorld recently announced the release of an all-new hibernating GPS battery pack specifically designed to work with the firm’s latest GPS tracker, the all-weather WorldTracker Enduro which was released in April.

Utilizing a dual-layer of Lithium Ion batteries, the durable and efficient hibernating battery pack exceeds the capabilities of other GPS battery packs by providing enough power for up to six months of continuous use of the Enduro GPS tracker. Ideal for long-term tracking operations, the pack features an on-board motion detector, which automatically sends the tracker into standby mode after 5 minutes of sensing no movement, which conserves battery power.

According to Gilbert Walz, CEO of TrackingTheWorld, the longevity of the Enduro battery pack adds a greater level of efficiency and convenience for a variety of GPS tracking applications, including fleet tracking, heavy equipment monitoring, or covert operations.  “In the past, many GPS battery packs have provided only 60-90 days of power. We’ve doubled that capacity allowing for even fewer battery charges, and further reducing the need human monitoring,” he said.

Highly compact, the Enduro battery pack measures only 5.43 inches long and is housed in a magnetic, crushproof and waterproof Pelican™ case.  “The all-weather capabilities of the Enduro and the extreme durability and longevity of our new battery pack combine to offer longer, more efficient deployments as well as reliable tracking even in the very worst weather conditions,” said Walz.

Touted as the world’s smallest GPS tracking device, the WorldTracker Enduro is smaller than a credit card, weighs less than 3 ounces, and provides accurate reporting in extreme temperatures ranging from 20 degrees below zero to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.  The GPS tracking device can be programmed to transmit location reports as frequently as every ten seconds, and provide up to five cell phone or email alerts when the device leaves a pre-determined area.  In addition, the GPS tracking system comes equipped with the renowned SiRF Star III chipset.
