Cancer survivor Hal Becker, an entrepreneur and author, will be featured speaker
URBANA, IL – Carle Cancer Center will host its 21st annual celebration for those in the community who have triumphed over cancer.
Carle Cancer Center’s Survivors Day event will be held Thursday, June 4, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Urbana. Cancer survivor Hal Becker, an entrepreneur, author and certified professional speaker, will share an inspirational and humorous account of his experience with the disease. The celebration will also feature refreshments, live music and displays.
National Cancer Survivors Day activities are held nationwide each June to honor America’s 12 million cancer survivors. Carle Cancer Center’s event is free and open to cancer survivors, family and friends. Advance registration is requested; call (217) 383-3200.
