PRLog (Press Release) - Jun 02, 2009 -
Bursting at the seams with the best homegrown theatrical and musical talent Wales has to offer - and with the stunning scenery into the bargain - the company returns to St Fagan’s National History Museum.

Join King Lear for an exhilarating evening of treachery, deception and murder in a fresh, fast-paced, accessible version of Shakespeare's classic tragedy 22 July - 1 August. Families can take to the open road with Mr Toad and his chums with Toad of Toad Hall 25 July - 1 August.  Or float away down the Grand Canal with one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s best-loved operettas, the Gondoliers, from 8 -18 July.

“We’re the original, longest running and biggest open-air theatre festival in Wales. says Festival Chairman Peter Harding-Roberts.
“Our shows are fantastic value for money. In London’s West End you can pay anything from £30 to £65 for ticket. Tickets for Toad of Toad Hall are a bargain at £7. The most you’ll pay for a ticket to see King Lear or the Gondoliers is £15.”

“There’s been a rumour that we aren’t performing this year,” he added. “We’re not sure where this has come from - perhaps it’s because a fellow outdoor theatre festival is taking a break this year -  but we want to reassure our audience that we’ll be back at St Fagan’s this summer as usual. Come and join us for some of the best theatre you’ll see in 2009.”

Why not take advantage of the beautiful surroundings by bringing along a picnic? Or you could try one of the delicious pre-theatre supper menus. And all our seats are under cover, so you can watch the show in comfort whatever the weather.
Thousands of people have experienced the joy of Everyman Open Air Theatre for more than 25 years. Join in the fun, book your tickets today!
