Japanese tourists could soon be on their way to Swansea thanks to inspiration from the city's most famous son.
A TV crew from the land of the rising sun has been busy filming at the Dylan Thomas Centre for a travel programme to be aired in the Far East that will focus on South Wales.
The programme will take in the train journey on the Heart of Wales line and will also feature footage from Cwmdonkin Park and the No Sign Wine Bar.
Jo Furber, Swansea Council Dylan Thomas Project Officer, said: "It was great to host this filming.
"They spent a lot of time in the Man and Myth exhibition on Dylan's life and seemed to be very impressed with the facility and with Swansea as a city.
"The crew also took away a Dylan Thomas CD and they're planning to incorporate some of his most famous recordings into the programme."
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: "The legend of Dylan Thomas has been responsible for attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists to Swansea over the years.
"People come from all over the planet to visit the area of his birth with former American President Jimmy Carter among those to have made the trip.
"We hope the interest generated by the programme to be aired in Japan means more people than ever before will soon come to experience our beautiful city."
The programme will be broadcast initially in June in Japan and then repeated several times over the course of the year.
