This is your money available for you at the local level! All you have to do is apply for it…
The federal government has grown impatient with the pace at which stimulus money is making into the economy. Although part of the stimulus package was signed into law on February 17, 2009. It has taken a while to figure out how to get this money injected into the economy. To get money to the local level quicker, over $2.7 billion dollars in formula grants were allocated to state, county, and city governments on March 26, 2009.
The problem is that many people with access to stimulus funds don’t even know about it! See how much money has been allocated to your city, county, or state?
What is the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECGBC)? The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG) provides grants to U.S. local governments, states, territories, and Indian tribes, to fund projects that reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and that improve energy efficiency. Additional purposes of the EECBG Program are to spur economic growth and create and/or retain jobs under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
You should take the time to acquaint yourself with two federal programs; the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
