Zahid Al Amin, Special Correspondent of Weekly Blitz has been nominated for a fellowship on "Multimedia and online journalism" at International Institute of Journalism. It is a course under InWEnt - Capacity Building International, Germany which is dedicated to human resource development, advanced training and dialogue globally commissioned by the Federal Government of Germany. He will fly for Berlin on June 6 to participate the course.

Zahid Al Amin was a student of Communication and Journalism at the University of Chittagong and began his career in journalism with The Daily Life. Later, he worked with The Bangladesh Observer, The Daily Noya Diganta and Amader Shomoy as Special Correspondent.
He has also worked with BCDJC, Panos South Asia and Australia based research organization-
The young and promising journalist narrowly escaped from death attempt in 2005 when miscreants attacked him in Chittagong while he was preparing report on an acid burnt housewife. Till date Zahid is bearing the sign of torture in his body.
He came into attention of global readers through his numerous reports on religious minority issue, terrorism, Islamist militancy, human rights and freedom of press and expression.
