The Doobie Brothers will be performing live at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, Friday July 3rd.  Tickets for the concert are available at www.actickets.com , the premier provider of concert and show tickets for Atlantic City entertainment.

The Doobie Brothers are an American rock group from San Jose, California.  The band was formed in 1969 by lead singer and song writer at the time, Tom Johnston and drummer John Hartman.  In the early years of the bands career, their major fan base was described as being the “leather jacket motorcycle” type of audience.

In 1971, The Doobie Brothers released their first self-titled album.  The album failed to chart, but the lead song “Nobody” became the bands first single.  The group’s second album titled “Toulouse Street,” was one of their most successful albums and featured hit songs; “Listen To The Music” and “Jesus Is Just Alright.”  Other hit songs of theirs include; “Long Train Runnin” and “China Grove.”

One of the Doobie Brothers band members, Michael McDonald, joined the group from 1975 to 1992 while surviving the bands split in 1987.  In the late 1970’s, McDonald partnered with musician Kenny Loggins and co-wrote the song “What A Fool Believes.”   This song became the groups second number one single, and was so popular that it earned the writing duo a Grammy Award for Record of The Year.

After almost a decade on tour and seven albums under their belt, The Doobie Brothers career soared with success with the release of their new album “Minute by Minute.”  The album was released in 1978 and spent five weeks at the top of the music charts.

The Doobie Brothers have sold over 22 million records from the 1970’s to present day, and some their most famous songs include; “Here To Love You,” “Dependin’ On You,” “Steamer Lane Breakdown” and “How Do The Fools Survive.”
