Sail a tall ship: AJ Meerwald NJ's classic tall ship is sailing into Beach Haven July 25-27. Enjoy sailings, deck tours and environmental fun facts as she makes Beach Haven her port of call.

Go Behind the Scenes: Take a Dock Tour at Viking Village, the largest fishing fleet on the Eastern Seaboard. Free tour takes place every Friday morning during the summer, register at Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce 609 494 7211

Talk like a Pirate: Join a motley crew of Pirvate Wrestlers, jugglers, musicans and artisians as Historic Barnegat welcomes its annual Pirate's Day celebration happening Rt 9 and East Bay Avenue on September 12 609 698-0080

Feed Me Seymour:  Surflight, Beach Haven's professional live performance theatre presents The Little Shop of Horrors. The cult classic tale of a floral assistant that spends alittle to much attention to a very demanding plant.  Show runs July 30-August 16 matinee and evening performances, call box office for tickets availability and pricing (609) 492-9477.

Bring home a Bass: Register for the 55th Annual Long Beach Island Surf Fishing Classic and spend the fall earning thousands of dollars in prizes.

Hug a Gator: Fantasy Island Amusement Park celebrates it's 25th Anniversary. Free family shows, admission and parking are always something to celebrate when visiting this Beach Haven Park.  www.fantasyislandpark.com

Visit Old Barney: The recently re commissioned coastal navigation aid celebrates 150 years of guarding the inlet, there is no admission to visit the beautiful grounds or climb to the top of this working lighthouse at Barnegat Light State Park

Become a Wild Clam of LBI at the 21rst  Chowderfest, Sunday October 3 at Bayfront Park Taylor Avenue, Beach Haven. Unlimited chowder tasting at the Chowder Cook off Classic as local restaurants compete to be the King Of Clams. Your ticket gets you two votes, one for red and one for white.
