Belfast, 1st June 2009 – Kelsius, a leading provider of web based monitoring and alarming solutions for the Food and Healthcare sectors, have launched a simple to use temperature mapping kit for use by Healthcare and Pharma professionals.
Traditionally, hospital pharmacists and laboratory managers have employed the services of third party consultants to perform mapping. This typically comes at a significant expense.  More recently we have seen the emergence of data-loggers with their own dedicated PC software. These systems can be deployed in-house by healthcare professionals who wish to perform their own mapping.  Although an improvement upon previous wired solutions the configuring of equipment and downloading/interpretation of data is often a time-consuming task particularly for a busy department with limited resources.
With the Kelsius system, users are empowered to carry out their own mapping activities, as and when required, in a cost-effective manner with little investment in their own time.  Pre-configured wireless mapping sensors are placed in storage areas by users for a defined period of time.  During the mapping period the sensors simultaneously record air and product temperature and automatically upload the data to the Kelsius website where customisable reports are immediately accessible from any internet-enabled PC.  
An additional feature that users can benefit from is the ability to automatically capture door opening events during the mapping process which can be used to explain potential temperature spikes.

The Kelsius system cuts costs from day one, provides an easy to use customisable reporting system and ensures mapping reports can easily be shared with colleagues, clients and verification authorities.
