Help at Hand for Problem Eaters - New Website for Hampshire Dietitian Firm

A new website has been launched by Hampshire-based dietitian company, Diets By Design to offer help with picky eaters, problem diets and food-related health concerns.

June 1, 2009 - PRLog -- In these days of processed food and busy lives, it can be difficult to make sure that what you and your family are eating has all the nutrition you need to work at your best. This is particularly difficult if you are trying to lose weight, balance a busy life, have food allergies or if your children will only eat certain foods.
A Hampshire-based Dietitian has just launched her new website, http://www.dietsbydesign.co.uk, offering help with developing a healthy eating pattern for adults and children alike.
Sue Power, based in Alton, is registered with the British Dietetic Association. Her company, Diets by Design, offers dietary advice for those affected by eating disorders, food allergies, medical conditions or for people who want help with a new, healthier way of eating.
Sue says, “It can be a nightmare for people affected by food allergies or diseases such as Diabetes, Coeliac Disease or those battling back to health from illness. I can build a custom plan for anyone who has special dietary needs and work with them to ensure their diet avoids problem foods but includes the correct nutrition.”
Sue can also make tailored diet plans for those who need to lose weight or who battle to keep it on and is a particular expert with children who are picky eaters.
“My eldest son is really picky about what he will eat, so I know first-hand what it is like for parents whose child will only eat a very limited range of foods and can work with them to ensure their child’s food intake is nutritionally suitable.”
Diets By Design will analyse your current diet and recommend an easy-to-stick-to plan, built around your or your child’s needs.
Sue says, “The saying about a healthy body makes a healthy mind is so true. If you’re trying to lose weight you’ll know only too well how bad you can feel when you’re on a diet. If you’ve just been diagnosed with something like Crohn’s Disease you may need help with knowing what you can eat without making yourself ill. I can help make sure your eating plan includes things you actually like to eat, within a specific program.”
An increasing problem Sue encounters however are children who have a very limited diet and who aren’t getting the right nutrients. Sue’s methods are aimed at taking small steps at a time.
“Children don’t like changes to their diets, so it has to be done sensitively and carefully. As a mother myself as well as a dietitian, I can help your child to a better way of eating.”
Sue can be contacted through her website at www.dietsbydesign.co.uk or by phoning 07915 405274.
