This made it a diet of close to 50% carbohydrate. Protein made up some 10-20%. We are talking about protein, the very building blocks of life, particularly for the young. But nobody put an age limit on THAT diet.
Would you agree the best way to create some addicts is to push the substance to them? And the best way to spread that addiction is from one addict to another. These so called experts created millions of carbohydrate addicts, who accepted these diet as science and unknowing and innocently, passed it on from one generation to the next.
It doesn’t mean the experts didn’t have good intentions, but good intentions are no substitute for research and human trials. These diets were launched with plenty of posters and promotions, but without research, without trials and without a murmur from the medical or scientific communities. Yet they were promoted as science.
