Founders Joseph Henderson and Dexter Krumrie met while in college and decided to build a website that allowed people to have full control over their business. They want to allow people to pursue their dreams with minimal overhead so Joxed.com charges absolutely zero fees. The Joxed business model focuses on user happiness over the bottom line. We want to provide users with a place they can feel like they have ownership because they are really being listened to. The model allows the five person staff to focus on making the website better and pleasing the customer rather than squeezing every drop out of the bottom line. The CEO has said multiple times the company will never be for sale, and they will never have a board of directors. The reason offered is that they never want to make decisions that will effect others livelihoods based on profit margins or greedy shareholders.
Joxed launched May 30th of 2009 to sizable audience for a start-up. Within 48 hours traffic has topped 500,000 hits, and new users has increased 2,400% in that time. The company is located in Overland Park, Kansas and will never be moved to the coast. Joxed does not seek investors instead they seek new users who want to re-imagine how a company can operate. One look into the About Us page About Us and it is clear what they stand for. Honor, integrity, and loyalty to their employees and users.
