The NEW 'Auction-Style' Recruitment Event
Lansdowne, PA – As concern to find employment in the dismal job market
continues to grow nationwide, one campaign is organizing an event to help jobseekers land interviews in a fast, fun and easy way.
The Great American Comeback Campaign, a NEW workforce reentry initiative is organizing The Job Auction Expo in 10 US cities with high unemployment rates.
The 'Auction-Style' Recruitment Event kicks-off Friday, August 21st, in Philadelphia, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, in Room 201, from 9:30am to 6:pm.
The event showcases 15 employers that post jobs up for bid, and admit 378 qualified
jobseekers, to bid on jobs by 'pitching' their employable assets to recruiters and hiring managers for the chance to win interviews.
Studies show that the job search process can be a long and daunting task that can take the
average jobseeker weeks or even months to land an interview.
“What we're doing, Bamba said, is adding a bid of fun and excitement to the job search
process while helping jobseekers line-up interviews in a fast, fun, and easy way.”
On-site sponsorship activities include an early morning “Practice Your Pitch” Coffee, the “Meet The Job Auctioneer” practice job auction and “The Perfect Candidate Contest” an on-the-spot interview challenge that gives 2 contest finalist the chance to win a job!
